Norma and Arthur Lewis, a sub­ur­ban cou­ple with a young child, receive a sim­ple wooden box as a gift, which bears fatal and irrev­o­ca­ble con­se­quences. A mys­te­ri­ous stranger, deliv­ers the mes­sage that the box promises to bestow upon its owner $1 mil­lion with the press of a but­ton. But, press­ing this but­ton will simul­ta­ne­ously cause the death of another human being some­where in the world; some­one they don’t know. With just 24 hours to have the box in their pos­ses­sion, Norma and Arthur find them­selves in the cross-hairs of a star­tling moral dilemma and must face the true nature of their humanity.

How­ever, as a man, he absolutely despises vio­lence and has shown its hor­rors in recent films such as Unfor­given (1992), A Per­fect World (1993), Absolute Power (1997), Mys­tic River (2003) Mil­lion Dol­lar Baby (2004) and Gran Torino (2008).
  • When direct­ing, he sim­ply says “okay” instead of “action” and “cut.”
  • In 2004 – at the age 74 – Clint East­wood became the old­est per­son to win the Best Direc­tor Oscar for Mil­lion Dol­lar Baby.
  • Gran Torino grossed $30 mil­lion dur­ing its open­ing week­end in 2009, mak­ing Clint East­wood the old­est lead­ing man to reach #1 at the box office.
  • He wore the same pon­cho, with­out ever hav­ing washed it, in all three of his “Man with No Name” Westerns.

Tak­ing a page from the „Fam­ily Guy“ res­ur­rec­tion guide­book, the can­celed Fox ani­mated com­edy is return­ing with an order from Com­edy Cen­tral for 26 new episodes to run over two seasons. […]

Com­edy Cen­tral was happy with the spe­cials and with the 72 pro­duced episodes of „Futu­rama“ it acquired from 20th Cen­tury Fox TV in 2006. „Yet there is noth­ing like new, self-contained episodes week to week,“ said Com­edy Central’s senior vp pro­gram­ming David Bernath. „This is all about rein­vig­o­rat­ing the fran­chise, giv­ing it a new burst of energy. When we brought back ‘Fam­ily Guy’ sev­eral years ago, every­one said that it was a once in a life­time thing that can­celed series stay can­celed and can­not be revived,“ said 20th TV chair­men Gary New­man and Dana Walden. „But ‘Futu­rama’ was another series that fans sim­ply demanded we bring back.“
