One of the greatest persons in recent history, Hunter S. Thompson, writer, journalist, politician and most of all American patriot, put an end to his life about five years ago. His work still affects the life and work of many people all around the world. Even if it’s just for entertainment while watching the adaption of his most famous novel “Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas”.

Here are some of his most popular quotes, put in the their proper environment, HST Motivational Posters:

They all went to heaven at the age of 27

I like to listen to The Doors a lot, so I was pretty amazed when I noticed this nice shirt collection themed “They all went to heaven at the age of 27″. The Scandinavians of Whipping Floyd have their own, but in my opinion very fresh style!

Here are the featured artists:

The Forever 27 Club consists of prominent musicians who all passed away at the age of 27 years. Too early, if you look at how inspiring their music is still today. Timeless classics. To put these people a monument Whipping Floyd created these shirts.

My favorite is Jim Morrison’s:

Mr. Mojo Risin is an anagram of his name that he uses in the song LA Woman. He spent his last night on earth in the Paris nightclub Rock’n’Roll Circus. White horses denote heroin, the reason Jim died most likely.

You know the situation: exhausted, drunk, just completely wasted — and the worst thing: hungry.

Inspired by this work I would like to share some more street art I encountered during my stay in the States this year. The first piece (my favorite), I tripped over late night in a far-off alley somewhere in New Orleans’ French Quarter. The other pieces  can be watched in New York City.

Ex Libris Art

Ex Libris

Ex libris, meaning ‘from the library of’, or ‘from the books of’ is a Latin expression attached to the art form of bookplates. These are stamps or labels that appear inside books to denote ownership, and range from the simple to the decorative and elaborate, to the obscure or even bizarre and surreal.

Prepare yourself for my website of the year: THEM THANGS

As I discovered this fantastic piece of art, I literally spent hours in front of the screen, browsing this most awesome collection of images ever, soaking up so much inspiration.

Seriously, this page holds everything you were ever looking for: bones, guns, cars, bikes, ladies, women, nudists, drugs, action, science, religion, occultism, art, photography, books, animals, stars, celebrities, racing, war, gangs, crime, violence, nature, music, sports, gore, fashion, quotes, history, vietnam, skulls, rock’n’roll, fun, sex, shoes, alcohol, sunglasses, magazines, movies, girls and lots more!

The best thing? It’s not just one single page! Here are all the pages in this fine piece of art so far:

I guess, this list gives you an idea of what I’m talking about…

The site is apparently a project of graphic artist, animator and art director Justin Blyth, so thanks a bunch for the mindfuck!

Just found this nice series of car commercials in my email archive. Some years ago, the Brits already knew how to underline their cars’ advantages:
